Gareth Hughes

Gareth Hughes is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in project management and technical leadership. Currently serving as Director of Engineering at HBNL since October 2020, Gareth previously held the position of Business Field Operations Manager at Virgin Media Business from June 2013 to August 2020, where responsibilities included managing project teams and overseeing field engineers for business connectivity services. Earlier roles at Virgin Media spanned from Network Engineer to Field Service Technician and Installation Technician, providing a strong foundation in technical operations. Gareth also led a team of engineers on high-value projects exceeding £10 million, specializing in high-capacity circuit construction for various sectors. Education was completed at South Queensferry High School from 1988 to 1994.
