Chris Ryan

EVP, Client Engagement at HBR Consulting

Chris serves as Executive Vice President of Client Engagement at HBR Consulting (HBR). Chris works closely with HBR’s leadership and its clients across the Advisory and Managed Services businesses to ensure HBR delivers consistent value to our clients, while deepening and enhancing those relationships. Chris also chairs HBR’s management committee and alumni program.

Chris has nearly 20 years of strategic and operational consulting experience across a variety of industries, focusing on transforming service delivery and business operations while improving financial performance. Prior to joining HBR, Chris was founder and managing principal of Overwing, a boutique operational consulting firm, and a director at Huron Consulting Group.

Chris is an active member of the Chicago nonprofit community and currently serves as an executive council member of The Cara Program, as well as an ambassador for the venture philanthropy fund A Better Chicago. Chris has completed executive education from the London Business School and the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. He holds an MBA from Loyola University Chicago, and a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Villanova University (‘16 & ’18 NCAA men’s basketball champions).

An avid international traveler and fan of music and sports, Chris enjoys supporting Chicago and Ireland teams, playing mediocre golf and spending time with his wife and three children.
