Depelsha McGruder is a board member at the HBS Club of NY and a former Senior Vice President of Programming at Viacom. Depelsha has over 25 years of experience in the media industry, with a focus on content strategy, programming, and operations.

Depelsha began their career in local news, before moving to BET Networks in April 2015. Depelsha served as the Senior Vice President of Programming from April 2016 to March 2017, during which time they oversaw the programming strategy for BET and Centric. In this role, they were responsible for developing original programming, optimizing processes, and managing strategic partnerships.

In April 2017, Depelsha left BET Networks to join New York Public Radio as the Chief Operating Officer. In this role, they led the daily operations for WNYC Radio, WNYC Studios, WQXR, Gothamist.com, and The Greene Space. Depelsha served as the Interim CEO from April to September 2019.

Depelsha is a founding member of Moms of Black Boys United, Inc., and has served on the board of directors for M.O.B.B. United for Social Change since its inception in 2016.

Depelsha McGruder obtained their MBA from Harvard Business School and also holds a bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism from Howard University. Depelsha has also completed executive education at the Yale School of Management in the field of women on boards.
