Jose Penabad started their career as a Financial Analyst at Morgan Stanley in July 2002, where they worked until July 2004. Jose then joined J.P. Morgan as an Associate in July 2004 and stayed until July 2006. After that, they worked at SAB Capital as a Senior Analyst, specializing in banks, specialty finance companies, and mortgage REITs from July 2006 to February 2010. Currently, they are the Chief Investment Officer and Co-founder of HCG Fund Management, an SEC-registered investment manager focused on digital private credit, since March 2010.
Jose Penabad attended the University of Miami from 1998 to 2002, where they pursued a Bachelor's Degree. During this time, they double majored in International Finance and Computer Information Systems.
