Tom Allison

Tom Allison is an experienced policy professional currently serving as the Director of State Policy & Finance at HCM Strategists since September 2024. Prior to this role, Tom held various positions at the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia from March 2019 to September 2024, including Assistant Director of Finance & Innovation and Senior Associate of Finance & Innovation. Tom's background also includes notable positions at Young Invincibles as Director of Policy Research and Policy and Research Manager, as well as roles at Bullfight Strategies and The Bonner Group. Early career experiences include positions at Media Matters for America, John Edwards' campaign, and the University Relations Office at the University of Mary, along with an internship at the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee. Tom holds a Master's Degree in Public Policy from The George Washington University and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Mary Washington, where a BA in Political Science and English was achieved.
