James Meek is an experienced archaeological professional with a diverse background in various roles within the field. Currently serving as Director of Archaeology at HCUK Group since November 2019, James previously held the position of Head of Field Services at Dyfed Archaeological Trust from March 2009 to October 2019, overseeing the commercial operations of the organization. Prior roles include Principal Archaeological Consultant at WSP Environmental Limited, Project Manager at University of Leicester Archaeological Services, and Field Archaeologist at several institutions. James's expertise encompasses archaeological consultancy, project management, and on-site management of evaluations and excavations, supported by a BA (Hons) in Archaeology from the University of Southampton.
