Benjamin Desmarais is the President and Founder of HDEnergy, where responsibilities include energy project evaluation in supermarkets and groceries, management and recommissioning of HVAC, refrigeration, and control systems, performance monitoring, and the development of analytics tools and predictive analysis for enhanced energy savings. Previous experience includes an internship at Matrox, focusing on automation scripts for software quality assurance and video processing tools, as well as internships at Micro Thermo Technologies and CIMEQ, where software development and energy consumption analysis for refrigeration systems were key tasks. Benjamin Desmarais holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from Polytechnique Montréal.

HD ENERGY specializes in energy efficiency for supermarkets and groceries; we offer consulting and engineering services for energy project evaluation and management. We have created a unique performance monitoring system which helps owners continuously optimize and maintain energy savings. Since 2010, we managed over 50 supermarkets energy projects; of these projects, an average of 30% savings in energy bills has been returned to the supermarket owners. The Analytics Tools that we developed use our expertise and knowledge to prevent critical energy problems and help to obtain optimal energy savings.
