Vibha Padalkar

Vibha Padalkar is the current Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer at HDFC Life. Vibha has over 25 years of experience in finance and has held several leadership positions in various companies.

Padalkar started their career in 1994 as a Manager-Finance (Corporate Reporting) at Colgate-Palmolive. Vibha was responsible for financial reporting, international taxation, forex management, and treasury management. Padalkar was also a member of several boards within the company.

In 2001, they joined WNS Global Services as the Executive Vice President - Finance. Padalkar was responsible for running the finance function of the Group, including financial reporting to the SEC, international taxation, forex, treasury management and SOX. Padalkar was also a member of several boards within the Group. During their time at WNS Global Services, Padalkar successfully completed the Group’s US IPO in a very short span of 6 months. Vibha won the Founders’ award for this achievement. Padalkar was also integral part of 5 acquisitions (within India and overseas) as well as effecting post-merger integration. Additionally, they achieved SOX compliance group wide and implemented Oracle financial systems. Padalkar also set up the company’s employee stock option plan and ‘BOT’ facilities for a large UK Insurance client in Pune and Colombo. Vibha achieved zero percent attrition in direct reports.

Vibha Padalkar has a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) from Delhi University in Accounting and Finance, and is also a Chartered Accountancy from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. Vibha has a Foundation Course in Accountancy from London South Bank University.
