Lane A. Bentsen P.e.

Lane A. Bentsen, P.E. has over 30 years of experience in the field of mechanical engineering. Lane A. currently serves as the Vice President Mechanical Engineer at Hooker DeJong, Inc. (HDJ) Architects, Engineers, Planners, where they lead the Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing Engineering department. Lane focuses on providing cost-effective and innovative designs that meet or exceed client expectations, with particular expertise in Building Management Systems (IoT), Precision Laboratory Controls Systems, and energy-efficient Data Center HVAC systems. Prior to their current role, Lane worked at The Dow Chemical Company as an HVAC/Project Engineer for six years. Lane A. also has experience as a Mechanical Engineer at Wilcox Professional Services, LLC and Swiki Anderson & Associates. Lane began their career as an Engineering Intern at Honeywell, where they gained valuable skills in board and CAD work for fire alarm and HVAC control projects.

Lane A. Bentsen, P.E. obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Minnesota State University, Mankato from 1984 to 1989. Prior to that, they completed their General Education at Arlington High School from 1980 to 1984. Additionally, Lane has obtained multiple professional engineering licenses from various states and institutions, such as Hawaii, New York, Virginia, Missouri, New Hampshire, Tennessee, Alabama, California, Colorado, Idaho, Maryland, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Connecticut, Maine, New Jersey, Arkansas, Florida, Minnesota, and Montana.
