Mark Giesmann

Mark Giesmann serves as the Associate Vice President and NE/IA Freight Rail Structures Section Manager at HDR since September 2013, specializing in railroad structures for projects like the Illinois High Speed Rail Project. Previously, Mark worked as a Bridge Engineer at HNTB from June 2008 to September 2013, focusing on the analysis and design of various bridge types using advanced engineering software. Mark holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Science & Mathematics from Wartburg College and a Master of Science in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Structural Engineering from Iowa State University.
