Andy Volney has a strong background in business process improvement, operational excellence, and manufacturing engineering. Starting in 1989, they worked at Allied Air division of Lennox International, where they held various roles such as Engineering Product Liaison and Process Manager. Andy managed assembly lines, coordinated equipment moves, and led continuous improvement initiatives. In 2004, they joined HDT Global as a Program Manager and later held roles including Manufacturing Engineering Manager, Project Manager, and Director of Business Process Improvement. In these roles, they led Lean Six Sigma projects, facilitated kaizen events, and implemented process improvements to meet business objectives. Throughout their career, Andy has demonstrated expertise in driving productivity, quality, and cost savings in manufacturing environments.
Andy Volney earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Industrial Technology from Kent State University, where they attended from 1982 to 1987. In addition to their degree, they have obtained various certifications in Lean & Six Sigma, including a Black Belt Certification from Kent State University in 2012, a Green Belt Certification from HDT-Tactical Systems Incorporated in 2009, and Green Belt Certification from Lennox International in 2003.
