Sara Malan

Vice Chair at Head-Royce School

Sara Malan is the Director of Public Interest Programs in the Career Development Office at UC, Berkeley, School of Law. Prior to joining Berkeley Law, she was the managing attorney at the AIDS Legal Referral Panel (ALRP), a nonprofit organization serving people living with HIV/AIDS in the Bay Area, for 13 years, focusing largely on housing law. She is the former President of the Board of Directors for the Eviction Defense Collaborative in San Francisco, where she spent over 10 years serving on their board and advocating on behalf of tenants. Since joining the Head-Royce community, Sara has been an active parent volunteer, seizing opportunities to support the students, faculty, and staff both in and out of the classroom. She graduated with a B.S. in foreign service from Georgetown University and earned her J.D. from the University of San Francisco School of Law.
