Sonia Urzua

Trustee at Head-Royce School

Sonia has worked in Bay Area community planning for almost 20 years. She currently works as Senior Planner in the Alameda County Community Development Agency where she supervises the department’s work analyzing capital projects, developing county-wide land use policy, and preparing and evaluating environmental impact reports. She enjoys volunteering her time in support of the Latino Family Network at Head-Royce. Sonia earned her B.A. in History from UC Berkeley, an M.A. in Urban Planning from UCLA, and her J.D. from the University of Wisconsin School of Law.
