Harrison Brown has a diverse work experience, starting with their role as Co-Founder & CEO at HeadCheck Health since November 2013. At HeadCheck Health, they are focused on preventing mismanaged head injuries and providing solutions for organizations to execute concussion protocols and support athlete recovery.
Prior to this, they were a PhD student in Sensorimotor Physiology at The University of British Columbia starting in September 2013. Additionally, Harrison was an MSc student at the same university from September 2010 to August 2013.
Harrison also had experience as a student researcher in Neurophysiology at the University of Guelph from April 2009 to May 2010, where they investigated the role of selective activation of skin receptors in muscle activity modulation.
Harrison Brown completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Human Health and Nutritional Sciences at the University of Guelph from 2006 to 2010. Harrison then pursued further education and attained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Sensorimotor Physiology from the University of British Columbia, where they studied from 2010 to 2012.
In addition to their formal education, Harrison Brown also obtained a certification in Machine Learning from Stanford University, specifically completing the course by Andrew Ng in February 2017.
