Software Engineering Lead at Heading Health

Courtenay Mansel has a diverse work experience in the field of data science and engineering. They are currently working as a Software Engineering Lead at Heading Health since September 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Babylon from December 2020 to September 2022, first as a Senior Data Scientist and then as an Insights Data Scientist.

Before joining Babylon, Courtenay worked at Flock Cover from January 2017 to May 2020 as a Data Scientist. In this role, they led the planning, design, and development of all data products. They also built Flock's risk intelligence engine using Python (Flask) and Node.js, creating risk quantification algorithms for drones and aviation.

Courtenay's earliest work experience was at the University of Oxford. They studied electrical engineering with a focus on data science and computational modelling from October 2012 to June 2016. They graduated in the top 2% of their year, achieving a high 1st (81%) in their Master's Research Project, which involved developing a MATLAB optimization program for designing Computer Generated Volume Holograms.

During their time at the University of Oxford, Courtenay also served as a Peer Supporter from March 2015 to March 2016, providing support to fellow students. They also worked as a Research Intern in August-September 2015 and July-September 2014, gaining valuable research experience.

Courtenay Mansel attended the University of Oxford from 2012 to 2016, where they pursued a Master of Engineering (MEng) in Engineering Science.
