David Parilla Jr. has a diverse background in data and research. David is currently the Director of Data and Research at Heading Home since July 2019, where they previously held the role of Data and Research Manager since November 2017. Prior to that, they were a Senior Researcher at Hillard Heintze from March 2016 to May 2017, where they focused on research support for law enforcement consulting. David also worked as a Research Assistant at Community Resources For Justice (CRJ) from September 2012 to February 2016, where they contributed to criminal justice system reform initiatives. Before that, they worked as a Research Assistant at the Massachusetts Executive Office of Public Safety and Security from January 2011 to August 2012, assisting with community safety initiatives. Additionally, they worked as a Researcher at the Massachusetts Sentencing Commission from January 2012 to May 2012, conducting policy research and publishing the Master Crimes List.

David Parilla Jr. earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology from Suffolk University between 2005 and 2009. David then went on to pursue a Master of Science degree in Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement Administration at Suffolk University from 2011 to 2012.
