Prior to transitioning to photography, Thomason had a distinguished career as a Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation from 1990 to 2016 and served as a Lieutenant in the US Navy from 1985 to 1990. Educationally, Thomason holds a Bachelor's degree in History from Auburn University.
