In addition to photography, Owen has a robust background in emergency medical services, serving as a Paramedic since August 2015 and previously as an Emergency Medical Technician and Technical Rescuer with Haws Run Rescue Squad from July 2014 to November 2016. Owen's military experience includes serving in the US Marine Corps from June 2002 to October 2014 in various roles, including Infantry Unit Leader and Recruiter. Owen holds a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of North Carolina Wilmington, as well as an Associate of Arts in Biology and multiple certifications in Emergency Medical Technology.
