Andrew A. Nierenberg is a leading psychiatrist with extensive experience in bipolar disorder research and treatment. Currently serving as the Director of the Dauten Family Center for Bipolar Treatment Innovation at Massachusetts General Hospital since September 2017, Andrew also holds the position of Director of the Bipolar Clinic and Research Program at Mass General Hospital/Harvard Medical School. In addition, Andrew is a Professor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School, a role held since June 2007. Educational qualifications include being a Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholar at Yale School of Medicine and completing a Psychiatry Residency at NYU/Bellevue, following the attainment of a Doctor of Medicine degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
