Katherine Thompson

Katherine Thompson, LPC-S, is an experienced mental health professional currently serving as a therapist at Headspace since February 2024 and as the founder of Spero Psychological Services, established in December 2019, which focuses on mental health advocacy for underrepresented populations. Previous roles include Emergency Department Crisis Assessor at UHS from May 2022 to June 2023, where crisis evaluations were conducted in collaboration with Metro Atlanta Northside Hospital, and Mental Health Clinician at A.T.L. Psychotherapy & Consulting Services from December 2019 to December 2021, providing services and developing Telehealth evaluation frameworks during the pandemic. Katherine also held senior clinician roles at the Georgia Institute of Technology, leading BIPOC advocacy efforts, and worked as a bilingual psychotherapist at The Center for Success and Independence, focusing on juvenile justice assessments. Educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Baylor University and a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Houston Christian University.
