Alason Polanco

Alason Polanco, MA, LPC, LMHC, LPCC, LCPC, NCC, is a seasoned mental health professional currently serving as the Senior National Travel Primary Therapist at Eating Recovery Center since March 2022, providing therapeutic support across various sites. With extensive experience that includes working as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Hays County Juvenile Detention Center, Alason has focused on treating adolescents with mental health concerns, conducting therapy sessions, and designing therapeutic programs. Previous roles include leadership in LGBTQIA* advocacy through River City Advocacy, where Alason founded support groups and mentored counseling students. Alason holds a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy/Counseling from Texas State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from St. Edward's University, among other educational qualifications.
