Josie Middlebrooks

Josie Middlebrooks recently joined Headstrong as a Care Coordinator to support clients by connecting them with mental health resources and services within the Headstrong clinical network. Josie has extensive background in being a clinician and service provider with the military. She has multiple family members who are veterans and active-duty military. Josie is passionate about serving the military community and views her position as an honor and a privilege.

Josie earned her bachelor’s in Psychology from Liberty University and her master’s in Clinical Counseling, specializing in clinical research, and trauma and PTSD treatment from Point Loma Nazarene University. Josie is licensed associate level clinical therapist and is currently working towards her Marriage and Family Therapist License. Josie has work experience providing clinical services in variety of mental health settings including private practice, intensive outpatient, Residential and non-profit. Josie is trained in Trauma Informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, and believes in building strong relationships of trust and compassion with clients.
