Larry Barber

Larry Barber, LPC-S, CT-R, currently serves as a Mental Health Therapist at Headway since September 2023. With a robust background in grief counseling and support, Larry has been an active member of the Association for Death Education & Counseling since 2004. Previously, Larry worked as a Therapist at Taylor Counseling Group from August 2018 to September 2023, and held the position of Past Director at GriefWorks and CounselingWorks, overseeing grief support initiatives and clinical services. Larry’s experience includes serving as Bereavement Coordinator at Odyssey Healthcare, where supervision of bereavement support for hospice family members was key, and as Assistant Director at the Center for Christian Education, which involved managing operations and teaching. Larry holds a MA in Counseling from Amberton University, as well as advanced degrees in Biblical Studies from Abilene Christian University and the Center for Christian Education, and a BA in Oral Communications from Baylor University.
