Head of Clinical at Healint

Alexandre Urani has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. Alexandre currently serves as the Head of Clinical at Healint, a position they have held since February 2022. Prior to this role, they were the Medical Program Director at Healint from March 2018 to February 2022.

Before joining Healint, Alexandre worked at Sanofi for many years in various positions. Alexandre served as the Program Lead, Medical affairs, Diabetes and Cardiovascular (DCV) areas, where they were responsible for coordinating activities related to data generation, data dissemination, and KOL engagement. Alexandre also acted as the Program Director for commercial operations, intercontinental region, focusing on strategic development in life cycle management (LCM) consumer health care (CHC) medicines for countries in the AMESA region.

At Sanofi, Alexandre held other significant roles, such as Project Director in R&D for sarilumab development unit, where they led a cross-company team dedicated to identifying new indications and designing studies for the product. Alexandre also served as the Project Director in R&D for the Nervous system disorders Unit, contributing to project strategy definition and monitoring execution. Additionally, they were a Project Manager in R&D, responsible for strategic planning of drug development projects in psychiatry indications.

Earlier in their career, Alexandre worked as a Team Leader in R&D - discovery at Sanofi, managing a team and implementing group strategies. Alexandre also served as a Researcher in R&D discovery, conducting research on Alzheimer's disease and schizophrenia models and studying the cognitive effects of compounds.

Before joining Sanofi, Alexandre held several positions in different organizations. Alexandre worked as a Webmaster at Eurodoc, a Researcher (post-doc) at Zentralinstitut für Seelische Gesundheit, and an Associate at adum, where they were involved in a project of enterprise creation.

Alexandre began their career as a PhD candidate at INSERM/Pfizer, conducting research on the effect of sigma-1 receptor agonists in an animal model of depression. Alexandre also participated in a research project at Nagoya University, studying the effect of sigma-1 agonists in an animal model of Alzheimer's disease.

Overall, Alexandre Urani has gained extensive experience in clinical management, medical affairs, project leadership, research, and strategic development throughout their career in both the pharmaceutical industry and academic institutions.

Alexandre Urani has a strong educational background in the field of neuroscience, with a PhD obtained from the University of Montpellier in 2001. Prior to that, they completed a Master's degree in Neuroscience at the Université de Bordeaux from 1997 to 1999. Alexandre's educational journey began with a Bachelor's degree in Physiology and Cellular Biology from the University of Montpellier, which they completed from 1993 to 1996.

In addition to their academic accomplishments, Alexandre Urani has also obtained a PMP certification from PMI France in January 2015.
