Having served as President and CEO of Yamanouchi Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., and President and CEO and Chairman and Representative Director Astellas Pharma Inc, among other positions, Toichi Takenaka has extensive experience and success in R&D and global development of corporate management in the pharmaceutical industry. A recipient in 2000 of the Medal of Honor with Purple Ribbon and in 2012 of the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and silver Star, he became an outside director of Healios in 2022.
