Thevarayan Ramasamy

Thevarayan Ramasamy has a strong background in data management and business intelligence. Thevarayan started their career in 2003 as a Project Engineer at Polaris Software Lab. From 2005 to 2009, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Tesco, leading a team in the development of the Clubcard loyalty program.

In 2009, Ramasamy joined Quofore as a Technical Consultant, where they built and architected a new metadata-based ETL product. Thevarayan then moved to Westpac in 2011, serving as the BI Development/Architecture Manager, responsible for building and supporting the BI and data warehouse needs of various business operations.

Ramasamy continued to expand their expertise at Rabobank as the Lead Data Warehouse Consultant. Here, they designed and developed a single customer view system to comply with APRA stipulations. Thevarayan then joined Analytics8 Australia in 2015 as a Senior Consultant/Data Platform Lead, focusing on data governance implementations and data strategy delivery.

In 2019, Ramasamy transitioned to Healius Limited, where they started as the BI and Data Platform Manager, overseeing strategic development and ensuring data governance. Thevarayan then became the Head of Business Intelligence, leading the organization's data strategy review and implementation. Currently, they serve as the Head of Data, advising senior management on data issues and trends and implementing the company's data strategy.

Thevarayan Ramasamy obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Engineering from Bharathiar University. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in Snowflake Computing, Microsoft Certified Technical Specialist - BI dev and Maintenance 2008, Microsoft Certified Professional - ASP.net/c# 2003 dev and maintenance, and Certified Data Vault Modeller from Genesee Academy, LLC.
