Dorit Donoviel

Dorit Donoviel, PhD, currently serves as a Board Member at the Health and Environmental Sciences Institute and holds the position of Associate Director for Research and Associate Professor at Baylor College of Medicine, where involvement includes lecturing in the Center for Space Medicine. As Executive Director of the Translational Research Institute for Space Health, Dorit leads NASA-funded initiatives aimed at safeguarding human health during deep space exploration. Previous roles include Deputy Chief Scientist and Industry Forum Lead at the National Space Biomedical Research Institute, as well as senior positions at Lexicon Pharmaceuticals and Lexicon Genetics, where Dorit was integral to the management of significant scientific projects. Education includes a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Washington and training at Rice University in leadership for nonprofit executives.
