Ronisha Edwards-Elliott, LSW, CHW, is the Director of Chicago AHEC and Workforce Programs at Health & Medicine Policy Research Group. Ronisha is also the Owner of Peer in Health Wellness & Consulting LLC, providing support and consultation on physical/emotional wellness and patient-centered care. With a background in social work and a focus on mental health, minority populations, and patient advocacy, Ronisha has extensive experience in community engagement and counseling services. Currently pursuing a PhD in Health Science, Ronisha is dedicated to making a positive impact on healthcare practices.

Founded in 1981, Health & Medicine is an independent policy center that conducts research, educates, and collaborates with other groups to advocate policies and impact health systems to improve the health status of all people. Our mission is to build power and momentum for social justice and health equity in Illinois.
