David Fishwick

David Fishwick serves as a Clinical Senior Lecturer at the Population Health, Health Services Research and Primary Care at the University of Manchester since September 2022. In addition, David Fishwick is a member of the Academy of Medical Educators and holds the position of Honorary Consultant Respiratory Physician at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust since October 2024. As Chief Medical Adviser for the Health and Safety Executive since January 2016 and Co-Director and Consultant Respiratory Physician at the Centre for Workplace Health, David Fishwick brings extensive experience in occupational and environmental medicine, further evidenced by the honorary professorship at the University of Sheffield since September 2009 and prior role at the University of Manchester from February 2017 to August 2022. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Medicine degree and an MBChB from the University of Manchester. David Fishwick's research and professional contributions extend to involvement with the Independent Scientific Advisory Committee.
