Alhousseynou Sall, PhD has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Alhousseynou began their career as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Sherbrooke in Quebec, Canada in 2005. Alhousseynou later worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada from 2006 to 2008. Following this, they worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Public Health Agency of Canada from 2009 to 2011.

In 2011, Alhousseynou Sall took on the role of a Biologist Evaluator at Health Canada before moving on to become a Visiting Lecturer at the Department of Biology, Faculty of Sciences and Techniques, University of Nouakchott in Mauritania from 2012 to 2015. During this time, they also served as a Visiting Lecturer at the same department for a brief period in 2013.

Continuing their career at Health Canada, Alhousseynou Sall served as an Officer from 2016 to 2017 and a Senior Regulatory Affairs Officer from 2017 onwards. In addition, they took up the responsibilities of an Evaluation Analyst and Project Manager at Health Canada during this period as well.

Alhousseynou Sall also dedicated their time and expertise to the community by working as a Coordinator and Project Evaluator at the Heath Community Volunteer Worker in Africa from 2011 onwards. Most recently, they joined the First Nations and Inuit Health Branch - Department of Indigenous Services Canada as a Project Manager in 2018.

Alhousseynou Sall, PhD, holds a Bsc in Life Sciences from the Faculty of Sciences, Nouakchott, Mauritania (1991-1995). Alhousseynou obtained an M.Sc. in Microbiology from the Faculty of Sciences, Tunis, Tunisia (1995-1998). Alhousseynou then pursued a Diploma of Advanced Studies in Natural Sciences at Paul Sabatier University, Toulouse, France (2000-2001). Alhousseynou Sall continued their education at Claude Bernard University, Lyon, France, where they completed a Ph.D. in Virology (2001-2004).
