Amin Kamali

Amin Kamali is a Data Scientist at Health Canada, specializing in Generative AI for information retrieval and question-answering. Since May 2024, Amin has developed data pipelines for sentiment analysis and evaluated deployment architectures using Azure ML. Concurrently, Amin serves as a Ph.D. Research Scientist at the University of Ottawa, focusing on AI applications in data systems and leading research projects. Previously, Amin held various roles at IBM from 2014 to 2023, including Machine Learning Research Lead, where contributions included query optimization using machine learning and Generative AI, leading workshops, and filing multiple patents. Amin's academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Digital Transformation and Innovation from the University of Ottawa, alongside a Master's in Systems Science and a Bachelor's in Industrial Engineering.
