Ashok Krishnamurthy

Ashok Krishnamurthy is a seasoned medical professional with extensive experience in addiction medicine and pharmaceutical evaluation. Currently serving as a Medical Evaluator at Health Canada since February 2023, Ashok conducts critical reviews of pharmaceutical safety, performs causality assessments, and advises on emerging therapeutic issues. Concurrently, Ashok holds positions as an Addiction Medicine Physician Psychotherapist at Gilmour Psychological Services and as an Associate Physician at Women's College Hospital, providing group therapy and individual consultations. In addition, Ashok has over a decade of experience providing inpatient and outpatient care at St. Joseph's Health Centre and has consulted for the Sioux Lookout First Nations Health Authority. Ashok also founded and directed the AAPRICOT program, emphasizing patient-centered addiction services. Ashok's educational background includes a Doctor of Medicine from McGill University, an Addiction Medicine Fellowship from the University of Toronto, and a Master's Certificate in Health Care Administration from York University.
