Cheryl Smith

Cheryl Smith is an experienced communications professional currently serving as Acting Communications Executive and Senior Communications Advisor at Health Canada since June 2009. With a strong background in strategic communications, Cheryl manages teams, provides advice to clients, and develops communication plans for various public health initiatives. Prior roles include Acting Manager at Environment Canada, where management of the Clean Air and Climate Change communications team was a key responsibility, and Publications Manager at the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, overseeing publication production and content creation. Cheryl also has experience as a Freelance Editor, offering editing and writing services since 2006, and has held various roles in communications, such as Public Affairs Assistant at the Canadian Red Cross and Executive Assistant at Computer City.
