Christopher Pollard's work experience includes various roles in the healthcare industry. Christopher started in 2000 at IMS Brogan, where they worked as an Analyst & Technical Sales Support, managing the development of pharmaceutical market data software products. In 2002, they joined Health Canada and served as a Quality Systems specialist, overseeing operations and policy analysis. Christopher later became involved in the implementation of the Pest Control Products Act, including the launch of a public registry. In 2008, Christopher took on the role of Director of Information & Data Management at Health Canada, where they managed a team responsible for regulatory case management and front-line reviews of cosmetic notifications. Additionally, they worked on projects related to data science, procurement policy, and resource attraction and retention. In 2021, they became the Director of Canada's Workplace Health and Safety Covid-19 Task Force, leading the development of data products to support policy decisions during the pandemic. Currently, they are the Director of the Data Division and Chief Data Officer at Health Canada, providing guidance on data strategy and enterprise business and technology architecture.
Christopher Pollard earned a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of New Brunswick, where they studied from 1988 to 1992.
