Carla Barry, M.Ed, has extensive experience in mental health and behavioral support roles, currently serving as a Substance Abuse Counselor at Health Care Resource Centers since June 2021. Prior to this, Carla worked as a Mental Health Case Manager at Baycove Human Services, where responsibilities included counseling clients with mental health disorders and developmental disabilities, as well as case management. Carla also has a substantial background in behavior analysis, having held positions such as Registered Behavior Technician/Behavior Specialist at Malden Public School and Aspire Learning Center, where services focused on implementing behavior analytic strategies and supporting families. Carla holds a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from Cambridge College and a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education.

Health Care Resource Centers ("HCRC"), formerly known as Community Substance Abuse Centers, is a very well-established company which provides integrated medical and counseling approaches grounded in an individualized recovery-oriented philosophy that treats addiction as a bio-psychosocial disease. These services include pharmacological treatment with methadone and other medications in combination with individual and group counseling sessions. Treatment is driven by individualized objective goals. HIV/AIDS screening, education, and counseling services are provided for all patients. Our philosophy of care recognizes addiction as a primary disease, emphasizes the need for compassion, and encourages a drug-free lifestyle.
