Erik Schumann

Erik Schumann joined Health Carousel in 2017 as Chief Sales Officer, bringing with him an extensive portfolio of sales experience. In 2019, he was promoted to President of International Operations and oversees the PassportUSA business and he now serves as Chief Operating Officer.

Erik's key priorities include growing Health Carousel's client base and revenue and developing strong relationships with healthcare systems across the U.S., providing their team with the opportunity to make healthcare work better. He also ensures the ethical recruitment of foreign healthcare professionals that come to work in the U.S. and makes sure they are supported throughout the length of their assignment and beyond. Erik led the launch of the Health Carousel Travel Network (HCTN), which is Health Carousel's master supplier model for serving client healthcare systems.

Prior to joining the company, Erik was Senior Vice President at Convergys Corporation, where he managed a P&L portfolio of 20,000 employees in eight countries with more than $600 million in annual revenue. Erik also held a variety of sales leadership roles at Convergys, including Senior Vice President of North American Sales and VP Communications Vertical. Prior to Convergys, Erik worked in sales at Cisco and Sprint, and as a consultant for IBM Global Services. Erik received his MBA from Indiana University's Kelley School of Business and B.A. from Denison University.
