Russ Lipari

Founder & CEO at Health Connect South

Russ Lipari has held various leadership roles throughout their career. In 2009, they became the President and CEO of Validus Group LLC. Russ also served as the Vice-President of Corporate Development and Government Relations at Saint Joseph's Hospital from 2009 to 2012. Lipari founded and served as the CEO of Health Connect South in 2013, a platform that promotes health collaborations. Russ was also the Chairman of the Health Leadership Council at the United Way of Greater Atlanta from 2013 to 2017. Additionally, Lipari was a founding member of the Board of Directors for the Conservative Policy Leadership Institute from 2009 to 2012, and a member of the Board of Councilors at The Carter Center starting in 2013. Russ participated in the Marshall Memorial Fellowship in 2012, focusing on European comparative health systems. Lipari has also been involved in academia, serving as a guest lecturer at Georgia Tech and Georgia State University and participating in Leadership Atlanta's Class of 2011.

Russ Lipari has a strong educational background, having pursued various degrees and coursework in prestigious institutions. In 1994, they enrolled at the University of North Georgia and completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science and Business in 1998. Following their undergraduate studies, they attended Georgia State University from 1998 to 1999, where they earned a Master of Public Administration (M.P.A) degree with a specialization in Urban Governance. In 2009, Russ Lipari pursued further education at Harvard Business School, where they participated in executive coursework focused on Strategic Negotiations, finishing in 2010. Lastly, in 2016, they attended Harvard Law School for executive coursework in the Program on Negotiation - Master Class. Overall, Russ Lipari has consistently shown a dedication to enhancing their knowledge and skills in the fields of negotiation, governance, and business.

The mission of Health Connect South (HCS) is to bring together top health leaders and innovators in the Southeast to engage in collaborative conversations on changing the health landscape, create a deeper understanding and ongoing connection between health assets and highlight the region’s status as a vibrant hub for advancement in health.
