Elena Craft

Elena Craft currently serves as the President of the Health Effects Institute and has held various academic and research roles since 2012, including Assistant Adjunct Faculty at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston and Kinder Fellow at Rice University. With a strong focus on the health impacts of environmental exposures, Elena Craft collaborates on research related to air quality and contributes to initiatives evaluating environmental health concerns, such as the Hurricane Harvey Health and Housing Registry. Additionally, Elena Craft has extensive experience in leadership and advocacy for climate and health issues through a prior role as Associate Vice President at the Environmental Defense Fund. Educational credentials include a PhD in Molecular Toxicology from Duke University, an MS in Toxicology from North Carolina State University, and a BS in Biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
