Deborah Hammond

Deborah Hammond, MD, serves as the Vice President and Executive Medical Director at Healthfirst since October 2008, overseeing a broad range of responsibilities including Health Information Exchange and medical cost management for various health programs. Prior to Healthfirst, Deborah held multiple executive positions at UnitedHealthcare and AmeriChoice, contributing to Medicaid and Medicare program management. Deborah's earlier experience includes leadership roles in health services at Aetna and Prudential Healthcare, as well as serving as Medical Director at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma. Deborah's medical education includes a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine, alongside postgraduate training in Internal Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.
