Abby Hewitt

Abby Hewitt is an accomplished health professional with extensive experience in service development and maternity care. Currently serving as the Principal Service Development Manager and Principal Advisor for Maternity at Te Whatu Ora Health New Zealand since August 2022, Abby has previously held roles such as Clinical Lecturer at the University of Otago and Senior Clinical Advisor at the Ministry of Health New Zealand. With a solid foundation as a Community Midwife at Hutt Valley DHB and academic experience as an Assistant Lecturer, Abby has also contributed to the field as a Project Consultant and Manager with birthEd Ltd. Abby's educational background includes a Post-graduate Diploma in Public Health, Health Promotion from the University of Otago and a Bachelor of Midwifery from Massey University.
