Angela Castle currently serves as an IR Specialist for the Central Region at Health New Zealand – Te Whatu Ora, a position held since February 2024. Prior to this role, Angela contributed to the Taranaki District Health Board for nearly 13 years, where responsibilities included HR Manager for ER and Advisory as well as Lead HR Advisor. Earlier experience includes working as a Leadership Consultant and HR Consultant at New Zealand Post from April 2005 to June 2011. Angela holds a Graduate Diploma in Business Studies and a Bachelor of Business Studies, both obtained from Massey University, with studies completed between 1996 and 2007.

Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora leads the day-to-day running of the health system. Functions are delivered at local, district, regional and national levels. These include: - hospital and specialist services - the National Public Health Service - clinical governance - primary and community care. We also work to improve services and health outcomes. We do this in partnership with Te Aka Whai Ora - Māori Health Authority. We have united the former 20 District Health Boards, shared services agencies and Te Hiringa Hauora (Health Promotion Agency).
