Jonathan Wierenga

Jonathan Wierenga is an experienced IT professional specializing in cloud engineering and software development. Currently serving as Principal Cloud Engineer at Te Whatu Ora Health New Zealand since March 2022, Jonathan leads the Azure platform and has implemented Terraform-based landing zones for automated deployments. Prior roles include Principal Software Engineer at Transpower New Zealand, Lead Cloud Platform Engineer at Montoux, and Technical Team Lead at Solnet Solutions, where Jonathan focused on enterprise applications, cloud services, and system reliability. With a solid background at IBM New Zealand in database replication technologies and previous academic experience at Victoria University of Wellington, Jonathan holds a degree in Information Technology with honors.
