Maria-Laura Crespo

Maria-Laura Crespo currently serves as the Head of Advisory and Director for Budget 24 at Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora since June 2023. Prior to this role, Maria-Laura held several key positions at the Ministry of Social Development from November 2017 to July 2023, including Co-Director of Strategic Issues & Investment and Principal Adviser of Insights and Investment. Maria-Laura's earlier experience includes serving as Principal Policy Adviser for VET Reform and Senior Policy Adviser in the Department of Education & Training, Victoria, from April 2015 to November 2017, and a Policy Adviser at the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet from January 2011 to April 2015. In academia, Maria-Laura held various positions at The Australian National University, including Acting Deputy Head and Sub Dean at Bruce Hall. Maria-Laura's education includes studies at The Australian National University and the University of Technology Sydney.
