Petrus Nel is an experienced professional in emergency management and cyber security, currently serving as the Response & Field Services Manager for the National Cyber Security Incident Management Team at Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora since September 2023. Previously, Petrus held the role of Response and Field Services Manager for the Covid Operations Team at healthAlliance, overseeing critical ICT operations during the pandemic in Northland. Additional experience includes significant positions with Auckland Council as a Duty Manager & Senior Response Advisor, operational management of the HMCAS LifeFlight program in Qatar, and leadership roles in emergency medical services across various organizations.
