Ken Wong, P.Eng., has extensive experience in caregiving, engineering, and project leadership. Since September 2015, Ken has been a member of the Project Steering Committee at The Change Foundation, focusing on enhancing the family caregiver experience in Ontario. Concurrently, Ken serves on the Dementia with Agitation and Aggression Quality Standard Expert Panel at Health Quality Ontario, advocating for quality improvements in dementia care. As the Purple Angel Canadian Ambassador, Ken promotes the establishment of Dementia Friendly Communities globally. Ken has been a dedicated full-time primary caregiver for a spouse with early onset dementia for seven years and actively advises on caregiver support issues with the Ontario Caregiver Coalition and Baycrest. Ken’s previous engineering roles include Senior Executive Vice-President at Clark Robotic Systems Inc. and Senior Principal Engineer at Honeywell International Inc. Ken holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Toronto.

Health Quality Ontario (HQO) is the provincial advisor on quality in health care. HQO reports to the public on the quality of the health care system, evaluates the effectiveness of new health care technologies and services, provides evidence-based recommendations, and supports the spread of quality improvement throughout the system.
