Noa Carrera Cachaza is a Clinical Laboratory Geneticist and Postdoctoral Researcher at the Health Research Institute of Santiago de Compostela since July 2017, focusing on nephrology research. Prior experience includes serving as a Research Associate at Cardiff University, contributing to neuropsychiatric genetics and genomics with a focus on schizophrenia from April 2013 to April 2017. The Health Research Institute of Santiago de Compostela (IDIS) is a translational research, innovation and knowledge transfer centre which leverages and boosts synergies between the University and the Health Care Areas of Santiago de Compostela and Barbanza, and of Lugo, A Mariña and Monforte de Lemos. IDIS was officially certified as a research centre of the Spanish Health System by the Institute of Health Carlos III in March 2010.
