Director, Behavioral Health at Health Resources in Action

Cindy Lopez has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Starting in 2010, they worked as a Case Manager at FamilyAid Boston, providing assistance to families in need. From 2011 to 2012, they served as a Community Service Agency Intern at The Home for Little Wanderers, gaining experience in supporting vulnerable populations. In 2013, they interned as a Community Engagement and Outreach Intern at Fe y Alegría, furthering their community engagement skills.

From 2008 to 2013, Cindy worked at the East Boston Neighborhood Health Center as an HIV Health Educator and Counselor, providing crucial support to individuals impacted by HIV. In 2013, they became the Coordinator of Case Management Services at Economic Mobility Pathways, where they coordinated and managed case management programs.

Cindy joined IBA - Inquilinos Boricuas en Acción in 2016 as the Resident Services Program Director, overseeing programs aimed at supporting residents. In the same year, they also became a Social Work Field Instructor at Boston College, imparting their knowledge and expertise to social work students.

In 2018, Cindy took on the role of Adjunct Faculty at Lesley University, teaching social work courses. In 2019, their role transitioned to Manager of Helpline Services, overseeing helpline operations.

Additionally, Cindy has been a Part-Time Faculty member at Boston College School of Social Work since 2019, contributing to the education of aspiring social workers. As of 2023, they hold the position of Senior Project Manager at Health Resources in Action, where they manage various projects.

Cindy Lopez's education history includes obtaining a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in Mindfulness from Brown University School of Public Health, which they pursued from 2022 to 2024. Prior to that, they completed a Master of Social Work degree at Boston College between 2011 and 2013, specializing in Macro Practice with a Global Concentration. Their undergraduate studies were conducted at Lesley University from 2005 to 2009, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Counseling Psychology with a focus on Global Studies.
