EM Barry has a diverse range of work experience. In 2021, they worked as a Technology, Finance, and Administrative Coordinator at Health Resources in Action. Prior to that, they were a Teaching Assistant for Biology at Elon University in 2020. In 2019, they worked as a Business Development Manager at Global Arts Live. From 2016 to 2018, they served as the VP of Community Outreach at Autism Speaks. EM also volunteered at My Brothers' Keeper from 2012 to 2016. EM interned at the Massachusetts State House in 2016 and worked as a Worker at The Unity Church from 2012 to 2016. In 2015, they interned at Cambodian Living Arts, and in 2014, they founded Bikes 4 Cambodian Tykes.
EM Barry attended Elon University from 2016 to 2020, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Government.
