Samantha Carter has a diverse range of work experience in various roles within the social work and healthcare field. Samantha began their career as a Healthcare Advocate at Congreso de Latinos Unidos in 2014, followed by a role as a Client Support Staff at Women Against Abuse, Inc. Later, they worked as a Resident Assistant at Temple University and as a Senior Center/CARES Program Social Work Intern at Lutheran Settlement House. In 2015, Samantha joined Justice Resource Institute as a Residential Counselor, and the following year, they became a Therapeutic Mentor/Therapeutic Training and Support staff member at the same organization. In 2017, they worked as a Clinical Social Work Intern at COMPASS, and joined Health Resources in Action as a Certified Screening and Information Specialist III the same year. Samantha then worked as a Clinical Social Work Intern at High Point & Affiliated Organizations from 2019 to 2020. Samantha's most recent role was as a Housing Clinician at Pine Street Inn, where they worked from 2020 to 2021.

Samantha Carter obtained a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Temple University from 2011 to 2015. Samantha then pursued further education at Simmons University and graduated with a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from 2017 to 2019.
