Vedran Kasalica

Vedran Kasalica is a Data and Software Interoperability Expert at Health-RI, with prior experience as a Research Software Engineer at the Netherlands eScience Center, where projects focused on bioinformatics and medicine, including the development of open-source software solutions. As a PhD Candidate at Utrecht University, Vedran created the APE logic-based Java API for automated workflow generation and contributed to research at the nexus of geosciences and bioinformatics. Additionally, as a Co-Founder and Product Manager of See Side Montenegro, Vedran led the development of a tourism app, TouristiKo. Earlier career experience includes software engineering at Logate, where Java-based enterprise applications were developed. Vedran holds a PhD in Computer Science from Utrecht University and multiple joint Master's degrees in Computational Logic from several European institutions, along with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Montenegro.
